Fun in the Rockies - July 11

Today we left Calgary behind and boarded the coach toward Banff. Our Ambassadors of the Day were Payton J. and Cody H.





After passing through the gates into Banff National Park, we stopped at a picturesque river for a pizza picnic. The scenery was absolutely gorgeous!































After our picnic, we took a short hike to our mountain lodge. The sceneray was amazing.









Next we got to walk into the foothills of Banff for some shopping! We broke into smaller groups and spent some leisure time (and some money) in the stores. Many treasures were found by all.















The leaders were just happy to find Starbucks!

After shopping we checked into our mountain lodge and then got back on the coach for the short trip to the Gondolas. The BREATH-TAKING (word of the day) views were absolutely amazing. I have refrained from posting all 176 photos that I took. :)


















After taking in the awesome view, we dined at the Summit Restaurant.


















We returned to our mountain lodge after dinner, and settled in for an early night. Tomorrow we are getting up VERY early for the 3 hour drive to the glaciers, and then on to the hot springs! We are noticing that the homesickness seems to be coming to an end, and everyone is settling in niceless. We look forward to tomorrow!
